Why can't I see an offer in Dealavo?

Modified on Fri, 27 Jun at 12:12 PM

This article concerns product matching in the Counter Price service.

Reasons why an offer might be missing from the ranking in Dealavo

It may happen that while using our application, you do not find an offer in the ranking that you believe should be there. Here are some possible reasons for this:

1. Unreset filters

While working with the Dealavo application, you can limit the displayed data — for example, to offers from specific sellers or sources. If you don’t see a particular match, make sure you haven’t restricted the displayed data too much.

You can easily reset all filters with one click using the Reset button on the left side of the application.

2. Unmonitored data source

In Dealavo, we monitor specific data sources defined in your package. You can find the list of sources monitored for you in the My Account tab.

If you notice a missing match, check whether the site the offer comes from is included in your package. If it’s not, and you’d like to monitor this source, please contact us — for example, via chat.

3. Missing EAN code for the product

In the Counter Price service, products are matched based on the consistency of their EAN codes.

To find offers for a product, we need to know the EAN code it’s listed under. You can check whether an EAN code is provided by enabling the EAN column and reviewing the data for the relevant product.

If you want offers for a particular product to be matched automatically, make sure to provide the EAN code in the product file.

4. EAN code mismatch

An offer will not be added if the EAN code on the monitored site is different from the one you provided.

5. Missing EAN code for a specific offer

Sometimes, an offer may not be correctly described and might not include an EAN code. In that case, the offer will not be matched on the Dealavo platform.

What can I do in case of missing or mismatched EAN codes?

In the situations described in points 4 and 5, the offers will not be automatically matched. However, you can add them to monitoring manually. You can learn how to do this in the article: Adding and Removing Products from the Ranking.
