Dealavo integration with Google Analytics 4

Modified on Fri, 28 Aug at 4:38 PM

What benefits does the GA4 integration offer?

By connecting your Google Analytics 4 account to Dealavo, you gain access to sales data for your monitored products directly within the app, which allows you to:

  • Enrich your filtering
The more data flows into Dealavo, the more precisely you can filter and analyze your assortment.
  • Base repricing on sales data
You can use sales data to build your repricing rules.

Granting Access

1. Go to Google Analytics Settings
Go to Settings, then select the "Google Analytics" tab.

2. Enter your Property ID
In step 1, paste your 9-digit Property ID from your GA4 account into the "Enter identifier" field. If you don't know where to find it, check the "How to find the Property ID in GA4?" link below the field.
Then click "Connect to GA4".

How to find the Property ID in GA4?
- Use the search bar: in GA4, type "Property ID" into the search bar and the identifier will appear in the results.
- Account selector panel: clicking the account name next to the GA4 logo in the top left corner opens a modal with an account table; the "Services and apps" column contains the Property ID number.
- Via the Admin menu (bottom left corner) → Property settings → Property → Property details → the "Property ID" field in the top right corner.

3. Verify the connection
After entering your Property ID, you'll move to step 2, where we check whether the connection to your GA4 account was established correctly.

The system compares 1,000 random item_id values from GA4 against the columns in your Dealavo feed and suggests a match with a percentage score (e.g. id – 96%, sku – 3%, ean – 2%). Choose the column with the best match (the one with the highest score is selected by default).

4. Set the date range
In step 3, choose the period from which your sales data should be pulled for further analysis in Dealavo.

5. All done!
If the integration has been configured correctly, the data will appear in the app after the next update on your account.

Data View

Once access has been granted and configuration is complete as described above, after the next product update Dealavo will start showing new data columns, both in the Products tab and in Repricing. We show:

- number of views
- number of units sold
- total product sales
- the ratio of product card views to units purchased — the equivalent of conversion rate in Google

Most Common Errors and How to Fix Them

1. Incorrect Property ID
If the Property ID entered is incorrect, or e-commerce tracking hasn't been set up in the GA4 property, a modal will appear: "No data found: Unable to retrieve products for Property ID [number]. Check that the Property ID is correct and that e-commerce tracking is configured in the GA4 property." Click "Change Property ID" to try again.

2. Missing matching ID column for GA4
If Dealavo is missing a column with product identifiers matching those in GA4, sales data won't be matched to your monitored products. In this case, you need to add the corresponding ID column to your feed so Dealavo can map the products correctly.

3. Wrong Google account connected
If the integration isn't working despite a correct Property ID, check whether the connected Google account (shown in the "Connected Google account" section) has access to the Google Analytics panel where that GA4 property is located. If not, click "Change account" and connect with an account that has the right permissions.

If the problem persists after checking the points above, grant us access to your GA4 property at roas@dealavo.com. This will let us quickly check the configuration and help you with product mapping.
