It sometimes happens that the basic product file (CSV, XML) or the integrated platform (Shopware, Baselinker, etc.) lacks additional information about products that we would like to include in Dealavo.
These attributes may include:
- Optional prices (minimum, maximum, catalog, purchase)
- Stock levels
- Shipping costs
- Colors and sizes
- Additional product codes
- ...and others
In such cases, we offer the possibility of adding a supplemental file containing the missing data. The most common approach is to prepare a single CSV file shared via a link, which allows us to enrich the information visible in the application view.
When sharing a file located on Google Drive, you must choose to share the entire file, not a single sheet. If there are multiple sheets in the file, only the first one will be considered.
This file should maintain a consistent structure, even if the content is updated frequently. The CSV format is supported by nearly all popular office tools (Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, iWork, PolarisOffice, etc.).
To ensure proper integration, the supplemental file must include a reference column that allows us to match products with those from the main feed. By default, this is usually the product ID, but you may use a different attribute, such as name or producer code, provided that:
- it matches exactly 1:1 with the corresponding column in the main feed
- it is unique for each product
Without such a column, it will not be possible to map the supplemental data correctly in the application.
Although we typically work with one supplemental file, it is also possible to provide multiple files if your internal structure requires it—for example, one file for stock levels and another for additional product codes. Each file will be processed separately and paired based on the common attribute.
All supplemental feed files are available in the Files tab within the application.
