How to prepare a product file for the Competition tab?

To display a ranking in the Competition tab, you need to deliver a product file that contains both your own products and competitor products you want to compare.

1. Add competitor products as separate rows

Every competitor product must be entered in the product file as a separate row, just like your own products. Each row should include: ID, Name, EAN (required). It is useful to also include: RRP, Group and Producer (these are optional but recommended).

Every competitor product counts as one SKU in your monitoring limit (as specified in the contract).

2. Assign your product’s ID to competitor products

To compare competitor products with your own, you need to link them together. Linking is done by assigning the ID of your product to a competitor product in a separate column in the file (e.g. a column named MAIN ID, as in the example below):

In the MAIN ID column, enter the ID of your own product.

If one competitor product corresponds to several of your products, add this competitor product several times (each in a separate row) and assign the respective product ID in the MAIN ID column.

Similarly, if your product has several competitor products, just add those competitor products as new rows and assign them the same ID in the MAIN ID column.

This way, your product and competitor products will be shown together in a consolidated ranking.
